Hi dear fisherman : ) First of all I would like to apologise myself that I am writing in English but my knowledge of the turkish language is very low. If some one of you can help me with the translation i can post topics with my fishing trips. I live and work in Istanbul and practice mostly spinning. Pike is one of the most popular predator that can be caught aroun Istanbul so my fishing trips are connected with this predator fish. Here are some pictures of pikes that have been caught for the last two three months. H have lots of more but infortunately small withi 35-55cm. If you want I can post some more. I release 99.9% of the fish back to the water no matter of the size. Hi Nikolay.. First of all, welcome to Turkish amateur and sport fishing forum, which has mostly visited turkish fishing forum in Turkey. Do not worry about your knowledge of little Turkish language, you can speak without problem, we can understand it. Turkish preferred, because lots of people doesn't understand English. Thus, they don't understand you mostly. Nice Pike.. congratulations. Our limit for Pike is min. 40cm. So, you have to obey the rules if you don't release it. Did you go to recently ? if yes, will you share with us, please? Catch and release style didn't popular in Turkey by last a few year, but nowadays too widespread. Sincerely..
Thank you guys. I know the Turkish fishing regulations with limits of size and number of fish. The pike fishing seasons opens on 01.05. I have never been to Singapore and I am not fond of diving. May be you misunderstand me with someone else Which species do you catch also (except pike) in Turkey? Well I haven’t caught any other fish by spinning. With a pole (float fishing) I have caught carp, perch, crucian (you call it israel sazan) and some other from carp family which names in English I do not know. Since 2-3 years I practice spinning only from shore and from boat but not at sea. Last time was two weeks ago but the result was two small pikes only. Now the water temperature at the closed dams is around 27-28 degrees and spinning is very difficult. Nice walleye (sudak) on your avatar. Did you catch it by yourself.
